In this practice we use ALL of our senses to become fully present in our bodies, making merging with our highest selves much more easily accessible and possible.
We smudge, smelling sweetgrass or sage while we set our intentions. We smell, taste and share sweet and bitter foods after practice together. We chant and experience shamanic drumming to clear away our ego and merge with spirit during asana. And we feel our bodies, our breath, and everything around us in full and vibrant ways.
Our senses can bring us into our bodies or take us out of them, in 5 Senses Yoga the intention is always to be present, aware and in a state of constant merging for healing, free self-expression, strengthening and clarity for areas of our lives in which we are seeking clarity.
